New Home Building

2016 Spring Parade of Homes Starts Thursday Feb 20th

The 2016 Spring Parade of Homes, presented by the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC), opens Thursday, February 20th! In its 68th installment, the BATC will showcase 459 newly constructed homes all throughout the Twin Cities metro and surrounding areas. Each home is free to tour with the exception of four Artisan Dream Homes, in which the BATC requests a $5 donation. This year’s tour runs February 20 – March 20, with homes open Thursdays through Sundays from noon until 6:00pm!

The Parade of Homes tour offers families the opportunity to see and experience new homes and neighborhoods across a varying spectrum regarding price, style and location. Homes along the 2016 tour range in price from $179,900 all the way up to $2.3 million, in style from ramblers to artisan dream homes, and locations spanning across 108 cities. This wide array of options means there is something for everyone along the Parade of Homes (POH)!

The Spring tour is a great place to start if you’re interested in learning about the latest in home design & trends, seeing new and developing neighborhoods, or simply looking for inspiration on your latest home/remodeling project.

One area in particular that is flourishing is the Rapp Farm neighborhood in the highly desirable community of North Oaks. Located just 15 miles north of the Twin Cities, this gorgeous development contains some of the most beautiful and elegant homes along this spring’s parade.

Stop By and Visit Us!

Be sure to stop by Kootenia Homes & Remodeling’s latest creation at 15 Crescent Lane (#108 on the tour). This stunning home is a new walkout rambler style model, an increasingly popular layout that’s spacious yet practical. With over 3,000 finished square feet, this custom home contains an exquisite open concept main floor with hard wood flooring throughout the foyer, great room, kitchen and formal dining area. Large bay windows, high ceilings, a cozy fireplace surrounded by custom built-ins, and crystal chandelier upon entering create an elegant yet sensible space, perfect for both small and large groups. The main level also contains a den, powder room, mudroom, laundry room and a fabulous master suite. The lower level has 2 more bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, another mudroom and expansive recreation room and plenty of storage.

The walkout rambler is the perfect style home for families with children or without! The convenience of having everything on one level is great for empty nesters, and the lower level is a perfect space for kids or for guests!

Don’t forget to pick up your Parade of Homes Guidebook, available online and at Holiday Station stores starting February 5th. The guidebook contains a comprehensive overview of the tour and includes maps, photos, illustrations and special events throughout the month of the tour.

Kootenia will be hosting 2 events during the Spring Parade at our Rapp Farm model in North Oaks. Be sure to join us Friday, March 11th from 5:00 – 7:00pm to learn about our Custom Design Process and sample wines as well as Friday, March 18th from 5:00 – 7:00pm and learn about today’s single level living while tasting local wines.

We look forward to seeing you along this year’s tour! Please contact me if you are looking for more information about Rapp Farm or the Kootenia process!
