The Fall Parade of Homes kicks off Saturday, September 9th and we at Kootenia Homes are excited to showcase 2 of our new models as well as host events along this year’s tour!
Located along the edge of a wetland conservation, among the Saddle Club neighborhood in Lino Lakes, sits Kootenia’s latest custom creation and one of the Parade of Home models, located at 6426 Blackberry Court. Stepping forward with crisp contrast and cool neutrals, the home effortlessly lends its clean lines and silhouettes to a blend of modern and classic details.
Inside, this new construction home is bright and tranquil as it quietly incorporates a comfortable color palette. Large black-framed windows allow in an abundance of natural light, creating real impact with sharp, defined sophistication. Strategically placed matte black hardware and fixtures carry the black of the window frames to other reaches of the home and contribute to the visually appealing light and dark contrasts. Carefully selected light fixtures lend themselves to the over-arching theme of clean lines and minimalism; complimentary of the other finishes while still showcasing personality and a hint of whimsy. There is an understated, elegant uniformity throughout the home.
Stained knotty alder wood adds warmth and hominess as it compliments the whites and pale grays found in most of the finishes in this house, especially in the kitchen. As the heart of the home, the kitchen has naturally become a focal point, and this kitchen is great example of why that is. The stained island and refined quartz countertops add weight to the room while simultaneously highlighting the beautiful characteristics and the rustic nature of the knotty alder. An oversized kitchen window and minimal upper cabinetry accentuate the airiness and openness of the kitchen as it relates to the rest of the main level. The custom-designed stained hood and open shelving acknowledge the importance of a design’s form and a design’s function, without detracting from either one, as both are equally important.
The Owner’s Bath showcases how well form and function can co-exist. From the warm wood tones in the flooring, to the strength and substance of the slate tile shower, the materials and colors balance each other, creating a room that is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The clean black lines of the window are replicated in the faucets and other design details in the room. Heavy and airy, dark and light continue to play off of each other and balance each other out in one of the most thought-out rooms of the house.
Simplifying every detail in this home was carefully and thoughtfully considered with the big picture always in mind. Not every detail needs to steal the show as long as they all play off each other in the right way. Because of this approach to the final product, each selection subtly reflects purpose and the attention that was put into the total customization and personalization of this classically modern home.
Join us along the Fall Parade of Homes, which runs September 9th – October 1st, and see this blend of modern elegance for yourself. Be sure to also stop in for a variety of fun and interesting events we are hosting at this model. Here is what we have planned:
